Here is a list of the July 4th events taking place in Southwest Florida.
BONITA SPRING
- What: Star Spangled Bonita
- Where: Riverside Park, 10450 Reynolds St.
- When: Sunday, July 4th, 7pm. Fireworks at dusk.
- Free
There is live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event. At 8:30 p.m., the town of Bonita Springs will host a Glow Parade with golf carts. The motto of this year’s parade is “Be the Light”. Participants are asked to light up the night by decorating their golf carts with various lighted items. There is no fee to take part in the parade, but advance registration is required to take part in the event. Please expect road closures during the event. Old 41 Road from Wilson to Ragsdale will close at 6:30 PM and will remain closed until 10:00 PM. For more information on the parade, visit cityofbonitasprings.org/july4th. The evening’s celebrations conclude with a laser light and fireworks show that begins at dusk.
CAPORAL
- What: red-white and boom
- Where: Cape Coral Pkwy., At the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge
- When: Sunday, July 4th, 5 pm-10pm. Fireworks at around 8 p.m. 9:30 p.m.
- Cost: Free (VIP tickets sold out)
“Red White and Boom” is returning after the 2020 launch. Cape Coral Parkway. will be closed between Del Prado Blvd. and the Cape Coral Bridge for celebrations with vendors and food trucks. Live music starts at 5:30 a.m. with fireworks at 9:30 a.m. Bring your own chairs. No pets (service animals OK) or alcohol outside allowed. Soft drinks in cool boxes are OK. There will be a free boom bus with accessibility that goes to all Parking lots in the city center. The trolley service runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Cape Coral Pkwy. / The Cape Coral Bridge will be closed on Sunday at 3 a.m. The Freedom 5K starts at 7am on the parkway and crosses the bridge and back. CHARLOTTE COUNTY
- What: Celebrate America concert
- Where: Laishley Park, 150 Laishley Court, Punta Gorda
- When: 5 pm-10pm, Saturday 3rd July
- Cost: General admission tickets are $ 15 upfront and $ 20 at the box office. Limited reserved tables range from $ 60 to $ 180 depending on the number of guests.
Country star Josh Gracin will headline the concert with Nashville-based old country rockers Flying Buffaloes and special guest The Jack-Michael Band. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit puntagordafireworks.com.
- What: Fourth Festival
- Where: Laishley Park, 150 Laishley Court, Punta Gorda
- When: gates open at 2 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Cost: $ 5 per person. Wristbands for unlimited use of waterslides are $ 10.
This year’s event features Water-Mania, a group of 12 giant water slides that will be located in Laishley Park. There will be slides of all types and sizes for all ages. In addition to the Water Mania water slides, there will be a large kids fun zone that will delight the little ones during the day and in the evening. Vendors, displays and unique shopping opportunities are on offer as well as lots of fun with festival food, cold beers and drinks with live music throughout the day. FORT MYERS BEACH
- What: July 4th fireworks
- Where: Times Square, Estero Blvd.
- When: Around 9 p.m., Sunday 4th July
- Free
Bring a beach chair and enjoy the show. Restaurants for eating and drinking are nearby. You can catch the fireworks from anywhere in the city 26 access points to the beach along Estero Boulevard. Consider using the beach cart for easy travel. It runs from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Click Here for routes and more information. Paid parking is available at Lynn Hall Park, on Old San Carlos Blvd., under the Matanzas Pass Bridge and across from and next to the Lani Kai Resort. click Here for more information on parking. The closing time for the Matanzas Pass Bridge is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Big Carlos Pass Bridge at the southern end of the island will remain open. As a reminder, fireworks are always illegal anywhere on Fort Myers Beach and across town.
MARCO ISLAND
- What: fireworks
- Where: Between Tigertail and southern beaches
- When: 9 p.m.
- Free
As a reminder, fireworks are not allowed within the city limits.
NAPLES
- What: Fourth of July Parade
- Where: Fifth Avenue, downtown
- When: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Free
The parade route leads from Broad Avenue S. to Third Street S. further north to 5th Avenue S., east on 5th Avenue S. and south on 8th Street S. past City Hall and ends at 8th Avenue S. . and 8th Street S.
- What: Fireworks celebration on July 4th
- Where: Sugden Regional Park, 4284 Avalon Drive
- When: Sunday, July 4th, 4-10 p.m., fireworks at 9 a.m.
- Free
Bring lounge chairs and blankets for a night of good old-fashioned fun. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.
- What: Naples Pier July 4th Fireworks
- Where: Naples Pier, 25 12th Avenue S.
- When: 9:00 p.m., Sunday 4th July
- Free
Personal use of sparklers or fireworks is prohibited by city ordinance. No parking is allowed on either side of Gulf Shore Blvd. between 20th Ave. S. and 8th Ave. N. (Golf Dr.) vehicles are being towed away. Public parking spaces are available in the city center. Fourth Ave. S. will be a designated disabled parking space at the end of the beach for those who have a corresponding disabled parking permit. Parking meters are enforced daily between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. and no parking is allowed at the ends of the beach after 11 p.m.
NORTH FORT MYERS
- What: Red, White & BBQ & Country Jam
- Where: Shell Factory, 16554 N. Cleveland Ave.
- When: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday 4th July
- Free
Live music from 2-5. A $ 5,000 reverse raffle will also be offered – $ 100 for two tickets with free entry to the VIP area with free food and drink.
