MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – The Good Samaritans said they needed to step in after a car accident set fire to a house in the Pinewood neighborhood of Miami-Dade County on Monday.

Police officers and firefighters responded on Northwest 101st Street between Northwest 14th and 15th Avenues.

A woman who refused to be identified said she used a brick to break the rear window of the car in the garage to help the man trapped inside.

“I ran straight to the house,” she said. “I grabbed a brick and broke the window. And I broke it and told him to kick it in because I had already cracked it. The moment he kicked, I grabbed his shorts and pulled him out. “
